On Tuesday December 2, 2014 through the Community Advocate for Family and Youth (CAFY) agency, at Partnership Activity Center at Laurel, NKA donated funds in the amount of $ 1,000.00 to support Victims of Domestic Violence. The following individuals attended the ceremony:
In August 2011, Nka Ikem Esit established a relationship with the Bethany AME Church in Capital Heights, Maryland (Reverend David Darryl Robinson, Senior Pastor – Bethany A. M. E. Church, 1014 Iago Ave, Capitol Heights, Maryland) and held its first back-to-school and book-a-thon event at the church in September 2011. In November 2012, Nka Ikem Esit organized and sponsored a Winter Drive at the Bethany A.M.E. church and provided hats and gloves for the church and community. Shoppers Food Warehouse Gift cards were donated for needy residents. In addition, Nka Ikem Esit donated $100 donation towards the church’s Thanksgiving dinner.
Nka continues to cultivate a good relationship with the Bethany AME Church and plans future Community Outreach projects at the church.
